This follows a cast of characters that are obnoxious, moronic gits from beginning to end. That shouldn’t be a surprise though, as with any war, it is the young who take on the front lines and are often…well, childish. Most of the time when you pick up a book about WWII, or any war for that matter, you don’t expect to find a comedy. This shining piece of literature tackles complete emotional scenarios about our main character trying to prove himself insane, the very act of doing so though, proves he is insane. This 80+ year old novel has shaped the English language in ways that the younger generation of obnoxious, moronic gits can hardly begin to understand.
