Misleading Blind Date with a Book
It all came together one fall day in 2025 with the idea for Misleading Blind Date with a Book. After buying a traditional blind date with a book, we joked about how funny it would be to open it and find a children’s book instead of the sci‑fi or fantasy we were expecting.
That joke turned into a concept.
We focused on blind dates that don’t quite go the way anyone hopes, inspired in part by baffling one‑star reviews of books we love. The more we read, the more fun we had describing great books as poorly as possible.
Today, we offer our signature Misleading Blind Date with a Book, along with a variety of bookish and everyday accessories, including bookmarks, pens, eReader and drink accessories, keychains, pins, and more.

Our Interns
If you asked friends and family about us, you’d hear a few themes. We have two Boston Terriers, Navi and Ganon, our “interns” and constant companions.
Favorite Books
Our favorite books include Dungeon Crawler Carl, Throne of Glass, the Cosmere, Iron Flame, The Wheel of Time, and many more.
Our Travels
We love to travel, especially for concerts, with favorites ranging from Sleep Token to Phish.
Other Favorites
We also love The Lord of the Rings, Studio Ghibli, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Disney and Pixar, The Office, Bob’s Burgers, and Doctor Who.
When it comes to games, you’ll usually find us with The Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing, Final Fantasy, or a good Metroidvania.
