Historical Fiction #19
Let us know your choice of Tea, Hot Chocolate, or Apple Cider, along with anything else you’d like us to know, in the order note below.
Once upon a time, there was a White southern girl who had no mama, an abusive racist ogre of a father (we don’t think he has tusks though), and no puppy. She gets whisked away from her horrible life by one of her servants. Woe is her. 1964 South Carolina probably isn’t the best place for this to happen, but our southern brat creates a buzz by finding a new home with a group of strong, independent Black women with honey on their tongues. Don’t you fret though, not all White people are racists so this just might work out, all while she tries to understand what happened to her dearly departed mother.
